Grove Pediatrics Where Experience Counts

Our Commitment

Dr. Bill Rutenberg and Dr. Mark Rothschild are board-certified pediatricians and fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics  Committed to personalized care, we have maintained a small two doctor practice, so that each patient and their family is a part of the Grove Pediatrics family.  We are  a boutique practice  where everyone knows your name.  We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of comprehensive pediatric and adolescent medical care from birth until young adulthood. Our goal is to provide a caring and compassionate environment for children and families as we strive to guide your children to leading healthy and happy lives.  We value our role as teachers and are only too happy to engage in an exchange of ideas and knowledge.

Medicine is going through revolutionary changes, some good, some bad.  Sound bites, buzz words and fads come and go.  With our years of experience, we remember when the patient's needs came first and advocate for  you and your children.

Our practice is committed to working with parents and children as we focus on their long term health and development. We would like to thank you for entrusting us with the care of your children

A Personal message:

Why have I chosen to display some images of children from the Old Masters?
The reason is that they are classics.  Their worth and value have only increased over time.  That's why I emphasize to my patients to appreciate the importance of choosing a pediatrician who is current, knowledgeable and wizened by years of experience.  This is even more important the younger the child when growth and development are changing so rapidly.

It's been established that it takes 10,000 hours to become expert in a single field.
It's true in sports, technology, music and also in medicine.  That's why so many doctors are becoming sub-specialists.  They only have to become expert in a single discipline.  A specialist in Pediatrics has to become expert in many different fields.  For example, prenatal, neonatal and postnatal care, growth and development throughout childhood, anticipatory guidance, prevention, health maintenance, as well as diagnosis and treatment of illness.  The list goes on.  If expertise in each of these areas requires 10,000 hours of practice and study, it's no wonder experience counts.  If your goal is to paint a rosey picture for your child's future, choose wisely.
